jTrace is a Java profiling agent built on top of the Java 2 Standard Edition Virtual Machine. It is based on the Java Virtual Machine Profiler Interface specification.

jTrace allows to selectively trace classes by giving the user an overview of the classes of the project (and of the Java API) and allows the user to interactively select which classes to trace and which not.

Developed and tested on linux. It should work fine on Mac OS X and Windows, but no support is offered.
