Ana Lucia Varbanescu received both her Engineer diploma (2001), and her M.Sc. degree (2002) from the Politehnica University of Bucharest, Romania, in the field of Computer Science and Engineering.

Since 2004 she is following a doctoral track in Computer Science with the Parallel and Distributed Systems group, TU Delft.

Her research interests are in the areas of embedded multi-processor architectures (MPSoCs), focusing on parallel programming models and analytical performance prediction.
