About me

   

I am a post-doctoral researcher in the Embedded Software Group of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science (EWI) at the Delft University of Technology, Delft, The Netherlands since October 2009. I received my PhD degree in September 2009 from University of Twente. I carried out my PhD research on "Multimodal Localisation" in the Pervasive Systems Group , under the supervision of Prof. Paul Havinga. My PhD research was funded by BSIK Smart Surroundings Project . I was associated with Embedded Interactive Systems group at Lancaster University as a visiting researcher from October 2007 - February 2008. At Lancaster, I was involved with the Relate project which develops relative positioning technologies for "emergency response scenarios". Prior to that I obtained my Masters in Electrical Engineering from University of Twente in 2004 and Bachelors in Engineering (specialising in Electronics and Communication) from India in 2000.

I am particularly interested in the following research areas:

  • localisation algorithms and location-sensing systems,
  • mobile,ubiquitous and context-aware computing,
  • auto-calibration systems,
  • multi-sensor data fusion,
  • real world deployabiility for location systems.
