The Grid Workloads Archive |
 |
The goal of the Grid Workloads Archive is to provide a virtual meeting place where practitioners and researchers can exchange grid workload traces.
The sixth trace in the Grid Workload Archive Format (GWF) has
been added to the Grid Workloads Archive web site. We now have traces from the LCG, NorduGrid, Grid'5000, the DAS, etc. Visit my research web page
for more details.

The Failure Trace Archive |
 |
The Failure Trace Archive (FTA) is centralized public repository of availability traces of parallel and distributed systems, and tools for their analysis. The purpose of this archive is to facilitate the design, validation, and comparison of fault-tolerant models and algorithms.
The sixthteenth failure trace in the Failure Trace Archive Format (Tab-Separated Values) has
been added to the Failure Trace Archive.
We have completed the analysis of a set of nine long-term
failure traces taken from a variety of distributed systems..

Performance Evaluation Tools |
 |
GrenchMark is a flexible synthetic Grid workload generator, submitter, and
results analyzer, developed at TU Delft to help in testing, analyzing,
and comparing various Grid settings. Please visit the GrenchMark official
web site. A talk describing GrenchMark has been
presented at CCGrid'06. A more comprehensive
GrenchMark/ServMark presentation has been
presented at the ASCI Graduate Course A9 (also available as ).
GrenchMark is also part of ServMark, a distributed testing, analysis, and comparison tool for Grid environments, middleware, and services. As of July 20, 2006, ServMark has been accepted as a Globus Incubator Project. A preview of ServMark's capabilities can be seen at GlobusWorld 2006. A first trial version of ServMark was released on October 1, 2006.

Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Traces: BitTorrent
|
 |
P2P Trace Analysis
We have completed a large-scale monitoring of a P2P file-sharing network (BitTorrent),
with the purpose of correlating the P2P network properties with those of the underlying Internet.
By using our custom MultiProbe environment running on top of
50 PlanetLab
and over 100 DAS-2 nodes, we have
managed to track ~500K peers in one week.
Please visit my research web page
for more details. A description
of the measurements, and of MultiProbe, the framework used for them, was given in
the ended GP2PC/CCGrid'06.
